Congratulations to a couple of our NC Teacher Cadets! Allison Powers was a 2012 recipient of the Teacher Cadet Scholarship and Adam Moore was a 2014 Teacher Cadet Scholarship winner. Now education majors and leaders at Appalachian State University, they were both named James Scholars at Appalachian State.
The Steve and Judy James Scholarship for Education is awarded to one incoming freshman each year who plans to pursue a career in teaching in North Carolina. Recipients are chosen based on academic achievement, leadership, community service, and financial need. The Steve and Judy James Scholarship is $5,000 each year and is renewable for four years.
