“Growing Our Own” teachers is the business of our foundation’s instate teacher recruitment program for high school students. The East Forsyth High School’s Teacher Cadet Program, taught by Mrs. Stephanie Wallace, has produced 150 teachers that today fill North Carolina public school classrooms. Even more impressive is that almost 100 of the former cadets returned home to teach in Forsyth County. Meet of few of them here.
