We are known for celebrating Champions for Children. A matter of fact, we honor well-known individuals, businesses, and organizations at our annual Champions for Children Gala. This week a Champion, in the form of a 5th grade Wake County public school student, stopped by our offices with a very special delivery. Her name is Asiyah and she chose the foundation’s Back to School Drive as her Tae Kwon Do community service project. She was personally responsible for collecting all these school supplies! Not only that, she handed our Executive Director a white envelope containing cash of her own money so more could be purchased. Her brother pitched in some of his money as well. Thank you, Asiyah, for your community leadership and heart. You are helping children less fortunate than you start the new school year strong! You are a true Champion for Children!
