“This project gave my students “directed” hands-on time. While the concept of students enjoying hands-on work is something that educators hear about, too often, when given time for hands-on work, students seem to flounder. By having a full kit that came complete with instructions, they were able to feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work. When they drove the robot down our hallway, the look on other students’ faces was one of wonder and excitement. I am hoping that this will draw more students to my curriculum which is all about 21st Century skills.”
