Eight year old, *Kayla, had been sent home from school three times within the first 8 weeks of school due to wheezing and breathing difficulty. Her asthma was getting worse and the family only had one inhaler and it wasn’t working correcting. We provided for Kayla to be examined by a pediatrician so she could receive a new asthma medication prescription. Kayla was able to get her prescription filled for two inhalers: one to leave at school and one for home. Kayla sent us a thank you note she created with a drawing of herself and the sweetest message that reads, “I don’t miss school anymore!”
