Grant Opportunities: Literacy & More

The NC Foundation for Public School Children has a limited number of Literacy Project or Professional Development Grants and Parent Involvement Grants in the amount of up to $1,000 each. The submission deadline has been extended to February 1, 2015.

The Literacy Project or Professional Development Grants are designated for low-wealth schools or districts during the current school year. Named in honor of former North Carolina Governor James B. Hunt, Jr., any public school administrator or teacher is eligible to apply for a grant for his/her school or local.

The Parent Involvement Grants are designated for low-wealth schools or school districts to enhance parent involvement in their children’s education. Any public school administrator or teacher may request such assistance for a school or school district interested in working with improving the skills and/or knowledge of parents.
