The North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children has limited funds designated for Disaster Relief. We will consider each request for aid on a case-by-case basis and in consideration of our available funds. Aid grants are given to schools that have been reported to DPI as flooded or damaged.
This fund is only used to assist public school children and public school personnel when they have been affected by an “act of God” (i.e., hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, house/facility fires, etc.).
For Hurricane Matthew victims, priority will be given to school supplies for students and teachers. For individual student needs, please request assistance through the “Children’s Fund.”
The Foundation does not provide services for household items, i.e., mattresses, groceries, funerals, utilities, etc.
* If approved, our foundation must receive copies of expense receipts for Disaster Relief funds.
