60 Backpacks Stolen, 60 Replaced…

Picture of kids at Hands On Mission

NCFPSC board members, along with staff from the NC Association of Educators, literally saved the day for needy children who were depending on Raleigh’s Hands on Mission to provide them with a free backpack filled with school supplies. When nearly 65 backpacks were stolen from the mission, children who were impacted had to attend school for three days with their school supplies in plastic bags, paper bags, or nothing at all. Thankfully, one of NCFPSC’s board members saw an opportunity for the Foundation to serve out its purpose in helping some of North Carolina’s public school children by replacing the stolen backpacks and school supplies!
